Erick Lindgren
Erick Lindgren is a relative new comer to the world of poker. He was born and grew up in Northern California, where his competitive attitude was nurtured playing sports. soon after finishing his run at high school he moved on to Butte Junior College, but he dropped out in his 2nd yea as he knew very early on that his ties lay within the gambling world. Lindgren began as a blackjack dealer before he turned to poker and got serious about the game. 27 years old and single (at the time of writing this article), he now lives in Las Vegas and plays most of his poker in the local card rooms.
When Lindgren is not stting at the tables, he spends his time traveling, or playing golf and also really enjoys playing basketball. He says that his favorite movie is Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. He's had a lot less time for his hobbies recently because he's been on such a roll with poker. With his current tournament winnings totaling over $7,5 million, Lindgren has won 3 big tournaments since December 2002. His largest and most recent win is was at the Poker Million III, where he walked away with the $1million top prize. He also won the 2003 WPT event in Aruba and took home $500,000 for that win.
Erick Lindgren considers his toughest opponents to be Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, and Daniel Negreanu because of their intense knowledge and experience of the game and their very aggressive style of play. He tries to improve his play by watching and playing against the best. Lindgren currently plays exclusively on online poker site, Fulltilt and can be seen at the various poker tournaments around the world representing them at the tables. |
