Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel is a member of Team Fulltilt poker and plays exclusively on their site. In 2010, Erik Seidel became the 1st team mamber of Full Tilt to be inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame. Seidel was born in New York and was orginally a competitive backgammon player at the Mayfair club. He was on the backgammon tournament circui for around 9 years then moved on to Wall Street, Seidel traded GNMA's for PaineWebber, stock options on the AMEX.
Now a resident of Las Vegas, poker now takes up most of Erik's time. He has a very impressive record in heads-up play particularly, he is famous for his 2nd place finish in the 1988 WSOP against Johnny Chan which got him an appearance in the movie "Rounders. Since then, he's come out on top in all his heads-up battles against the likes of Chan, Helmuth, and Cloutier. The 6th all-time biggest money winner in tournament poker, Erik's 8 WSOP bracelets, 2 Bellagio titles (WPT) and numerous other wins add up to well over $10 million in personal winnings and lands him in 10th place on the all time money winners list. When he's not playing poker, you'll find him listening to music or playing tennis. |
