Ex Partygaming executive Richard Segal seems to be making a move within the industry. Latest reports confirm that Doyle Brunson from Doyles Room are interested in getting his expertise on board... They say Richard Segal was a driving force behind the success of PartyGaming and the organization was reluctant to see him leave his position at the helm of the company. It didn't take long for others in the online poker community to recognize Segal's contributions and make some moves to hire the former CEO.
Reports suggest that he will be making a move to Doyles Room. Doyles Rooms is powered by Tribeca Tables and are one of the faster growing sites today. There are reports that Segal's tenure at Partygaming was purely a case of right time and right place. Any CEO at the time could have taken Partygaming to the levels we are seeing now, the extreme growth of poker at the time coupled with the strong position Partygaming were in plus their much publicised IPO on the London Stock exchange.
It remains to be seen just what will happen along the way. Will Segal make the move and build another online monolith.
